OUR VISION
An Talla Solais's vision is to be a place where everyone can discover and expand their creative potential.
Actively engaged with our local community as well as artists across Scotland, An Talla Solais will be exciting, challenging and relevant, responding to local demand as well as stretching people’s concepts of art and creativity.
Ullapool will be a place in which art is an increasingly accessible and valued part of people's daily lives.
An Talla Solais (Ullapool Visual Arts) is a charity registered in Scotland, no SC040348. Our aims and objectives are:
To administer, coordinate and promote a broad range of artistic activities which are socially inclusive, encouraging the full participation of our communities.
To develop a range of learning programmes in the arts which will make a significant contribution to the opportunities for ‘lifelong learning’ available both to people resident in our communities and also to those who wish to visit and study in the area.
To encourage the sustainable development of the arts in ways which protect and enhance the physical, social, economic and cultural environment.
To establish and equip an arts centre based in Ullapool, to include a visual arts exhibition space and studio facilities.
To liaise closely with our communities, funding organisations, development agencies and other interested parties.
